Workshops and Seminars

Workshops are limited to 4 as they are practical and hands-on for all participants. For 5 or more people we canprovide the same information in a seminar format, which include demonstration on both infant and child mannequins.

Session Option One - Basic Child Safety

Basic child and infant safety which involves first aid, CPR and choking. Includes simple anatomy and physiology specific to children and how children are different to adults. Causes, recognition and management of emergency situations involving children and babies.

Session Option Two - Child Health and Safety

Child Health and Safety is a complete first aid course. It includes all the information from Basic Child Safety plus common infant and child illnesses, recognition of serious illness, safety advice, and accident prevention. Information covers respiratory illness (croup, asthma, bronchiolitis), head injuries (trauma, febrile convulsions, meningitis), shock (bleeding, meningococcal, gastroenteritis), poisoning, bites and stings, burns, fractures, electrical injuries and near drownings.

Workshop - max 4 participants = $280 total (inc GST)
